The size, weight, and shape all vary depending on the chicken breed. But, an average female (called a hen) can weigh between 5.51 and 8.81 lbs (2.5 and 4 kilograms). Meanwhile, the roaster (a male chicken) weighs on average 7.5 lbs (3.4 kilograms).
For size, chickens have an average tall of 27.6 inches (70 cm), despite their sex.
