FOOTAGE OF WHITE DUCK RUFFLING FEATHERS ON GREEN SCREEN.
The duck is one of the Anatidae’s family members alongside geese and swans. Duck belongs to the genus Anas. Mallard, Marbled duck, Fulvous whistling duck, black-bellied whistling duck, and white-faced whistling duck are all close relatives of the duck.
Quick facts:
Generally, ducks are smaller with shorter necks than swans and geese, the other members of the Anatidae family.
Duck’s feathers are highly waterproof. A duck can dive into the water and go out with completely dry feathers. The ducks’ bodies are full of muscle. They have 12,000 muscles to control their feathers, which help them dive into the water.
Ducks are good divers, some species have better diving skills than others. The long-tailed duck can dive 240 feet (73 meters) under the water.
Unlike domestic ducks who can not fly, wild ducks can fly really high, they can reach 21,000 feet (6400 meters) high.
Ducks can be found everywhere on the planet except Antarctica. They are called waterfowl, as they can be found in places where’s water like ponds, rivers, and streams.
Duck size and weight vary from one specie to another.
